Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after use.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Abel dent
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Support orthodontic or pediatric procedures as needed, demonstrating adaptability to various specialties.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred; familiarity with CAD technology is a plus.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Abel dent
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in orthodontics or pediatrics is an advantage but not required.
