At KCI, we take food seriously—and we’re looking for someone who feels the same. As Deli & Café Lead Hand, you’ll help run the kitchen, guide the team, and keep quality, safety, and service standards high.
This is a great role for someone with kitchen experience who thrives in a fast-paced setting, takes pride in their work, and enjoys leading by example.
What You’ll Do
In the Deli & Café:
- Prepare and assemble menu items with accuracy and care
- Support the Deli Manager and help lead daily operations
- Keep food displays fresh, organized, and inviting
- Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards
- Oversee prep lists and support team training
- Handle catering and bulk orders with professionalism
- Monitor ingredient levels and flag shortages
In the Retail Shop (as needed):
- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable service at the counter and on the floor
- Operate the POS and assist with in-store/online orders
- Restock and tidy shelves
What You Bring
- Experience in a deli, café, or kitchen setting
- Safe Food Handling Certification
- Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen equipment
- Clear communication and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work as part of a team

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.51-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 21 – 32 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- Food service: 3 years (preferred)
Language:
- English (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Safe Food Handlers Certification (preferred)
