Are you a customer service wizard with a knack for precision? As our Customer Service & Order Desk Representative, you'll be the ultimate champion for our clients, guiding them through a seamless ordering experience from start to finish. You'll be the primary connection between our awesome customers and our internal powerhouse shipping, warehouse, sales, and finance. This isn't just about processing; it's about making every customer interaction a win, ensuring all orders are spot-on, and keeping shipping errors and penalties completely out of the picture. Your Mission:

  • Receiving and placing customer orders via internal ERP, digital commerce platforms, emails, and telephone calls
  • Data entry and order invoicing
  • Maintaining sample room inventory levels and completing monthly inventory count & posting
  • Shipment of customer samples for Sales related activities
  • Building and maintaining solid customer relationships by handling questions and concerns with speed and professionalism
  • Resolving customer complaints and drafting status reports on customer service issues
  • Troubleshooting customer problems and suggesting mutually beneficial solutions
  • Follow-up orders on progress to ensure shipping dates are met; as well as contact customers when items are out of stock
  • Ensure all discrepancies are handled immediately
  • Various reporting functions as required
  • Communicating regularly with Logistics and Production departments to ensure a high order fill rate by maintaining efficient stock levels


What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in a role where a core responsibility was uploading & downloading invoices through online portals for a major food retailer
  • Strong detail-orientation and can demonstrate high accuracy in data entry skills
  • Strong Outlook, Excel and Word skills
  • Proficient in communicating with potential new customers
  • Experience using SAP an asset
  • Experience using SPS an asset
  • Experience with Commercial Invoices, Proforma and USDA Prior Notice an asset
  • Ability to hold others accountable in a friendly & diplomatic manner, even if they don’t report to you.
  • Comfortable with being on an active production floor when necessary


Good to Know:

  • This position requires successful completion of a clear background check prior to start date.
  • Steel Toed Safety Shoes are required; Personal Protective Equipment will be provided onsite.
  • Starting wage is $52,000 - $56,000
