Tim Hortons® (CPG) is looking for a Senior Analyst, Market Insights to join our CPG division. We are an entrepreneurial team of ~25 people managing over $500 million in beverage and food sales across retail channels in North America and internationally.

The Senior Analyst, Market Insights is responsible for supporting the account management team with data, insights and recommendations to drive the growth of Tim Hortons® at Home products within Canada. Through strong demonstrated performance, this individual will ideally be engaged in building relationships with key retailer contacts, where they will be viewed as a category expert, and will be integral to deliver overall business objectives.

Position Overview

  • Analyse multiple sources of data to identify insights (by category, retailer, region, channel, segment, etc.) and effectively communicate opportunities internally and externally
  • Establish periodic reporting and analysis of market data to monitor performance and identify issues and opportunities
  • Post-game promotional and display programs to identify opportunities and enable sell-in of future initiatives
  • Execute in-depth category analysis to support long term strategies
  • Develop retailer-specific category reviews to inform assortment, pricing, promotion and merchandising decisions
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with retailer category managers, directors and merchandising teams
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop solutions to business issues or identify opportunities for growth or improvement

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post secondary education - business focus preferred
  • 2+ years related work experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods environment
  • Proficiency with Nielsen, IRI and/or retailer platforms to extract and manipulate data
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to mine and synthesize multiple data sources into insights and recommendations that are easily understood
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, demanding work environment
  • Highly organized, fact-based and detail oriented
