About Us
We are Colour Oasis Paint & Décor Store, an independently owned paint store and the local Benjamin Moore dealer for the Bolton, Ontario area. We are also Bolton’s oldest paint store and we have been in continuous operation for over thirty years. We focus on providing premium products and the knowledge and expertise needed to successfully use those products. Along with Benjamin Moore, we also carry a number of other leading premium brands including Sikkens, Sansin, Goudey and Old Masters Stain as well as many of the leading brands of wallpaper. We are also a Hunter Douglas window treatment dealer. We pride ourselves in taking the time necessary to work with each of our customers on an individual basis to help them with their projects.
Job Description
In this position you will be responsible for providing sales assistance to retail and professional customers as well as performing other store related support duties.
Basic job duties include but are not limited to:
- Providing exceptional service to both retail and professional customers in person and over the phone
- Assisting customers with colour, design and as well as recommending products best suited for their specific project
- Managing and processing orders taken by phone, in person and by email
- Accurately tinting, colour matching and mixing a variety of paint, stains and architectural coatings to customer specifications
- Ensuring all orders are completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Assisting at point of sale to complete customer sales transactions
- Performing general housekeeping duties and keeping work areas clean, neat and organized
- Merchandising shelves and putting stock away
Requirements
- Have an artistic flair and passion for colour, design and decorating
- Willingness to learn and expand your knowledge about the products we sell
- Are personable and enjoy interacting with customers
- Take pride in the quality of your work and always focus on the small details
- Enjoy working in a fast paced environment and can multi-task
- Ability to lift some heavier items up to 75LB like 5 gallons pails
- Ability to distinguish between varies colours
- Are flexible, punctual and available to work during the week as well as on weekends (nights not required)
Qualifications
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum 1 year of retail customer service experience, paint or home improvement industry preferred
- Proven experience with POS systems and computer software
- Ability to work accurately work with math numbers and measurements
- Able to work in a team environment as well as independently
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.75-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 30 per week
Work Location: In person
