Position Overview
The Count Attendant performs the slot drop and count. They are responsible to collect cash boxes from the slot machines, count the contents within, and reconcile the cash value against slot reporting.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow drop and count processes
- Collect cash boxes from slot machines and replenish with empty cash boxes
- Perform the count of all cash boxes
- Reconcile cash amounts against slot reporting; investigate discrepancies
- Sign off on records, reports, and other required paperwork confirming accuracy and presence
- Submit Drop & Count paperwork to the Finance Administrator
- Adhere to NBLGC policies and procedures
- Adhere to Grey Rock Entertainment Centre internal controls, policies, and procedures as detailed in the Count Attendant Manual
- Other duties as required and assigned
Working Conditions
- May be required to stand, sit or bend for extended periods of time
- Must be available to work a rotating shift support the Casino hours of operations (holidays and weekend included)
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience & Qualifications Required
- Must be 19 years or over
- High School graduation or equivalency
- Basic computer skills such as word processing and email
- Bilingual (English and French) is essential
- Demonstrated abilities in financial transactions and math
- Strong time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively with large sums of cash
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
