Qualifications

- A valid BC Teaching Certificate
- Commitment to support the full range of student abilities
- Effective communication skills with students, parents and colleagues
- Commitment to continuing professional development
- Successful experience with adapting and modifying materials for a diversity of learners
- Working knowledge of using computing technology to support learning
- A commitment to the Principles of Inclusive Schools and Principles of Learning
Specific to this posting:
- Bachelor of Education (Middle)
- Major in French and near fluency in both written and spoken French
- Board approved to teach core French
- Two years successful classroom experience teaching core French at the middle level
- Demonstrated use of highly successful instructional strategies for middle students in an integrated environment
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to adjust curriculum and assessment strategies to meet the needs of a wide range of students
