Position Specification
Group Leader will be responsible for five to seven business units within the CORA Group. Growth of your team and operational excellence are the key focus areas. These focal areas will require attention and activities to increase knowledge transfer and guidance for the business unit leaders and their direct managers. Forward-looking strategic structural planning and implementation to support these growth areas. In addition, you may be required to take on an Integration Manager role to oversee business integration activities for newly acquired entities in the market. This person will report to the Portfolio Manager of the businesses.
Major accountabilities summarized as follows:
- Manage a group of companies in line with the strategy of CORA Group.
- Coach business unit leaders in company best practices and help them achieve mastery within their respective domain.
- Maintain operational excellence and focus on delivering ratios in accordance with CORA best practices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic leadership, vision, direction and coaching to various businesses we own and acquire within a portfolio of businesses.
- Provide support to our Business Unit Leaders through mentoring and idea sharing across the group.
- Function as a change agent for the businesses we acquire as we seek to add significant value through the introduction of our global best practices.
- Operate as the integration manager for any acquisitions within the portfolio, responsible for the commercial and back-office components of our integration activities.
- Chair / Attend Senior Management Team meetings of your portfolio business.’
- Lead group financial and strategic reporting activities on a weekly and quarterly basis.
- Analyse business specific vertical markets, competitors, win/loss reasons to identify ideal customer and maximize pricing and growth opportunities.
- Ensure alignment of each business and functional department’s KPI’s with corporate targets, and professionally develop each functional leader to embrace and execute best practices in the market.
- Ensure a strong talent management process is adopted to attract and retain talent, ensure strong employee engagement, put in place succession plans to manage risks, embrace scalability, and harvest up-and-coming talent.
- Tracking & reporting – conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings to promote teamwork, align priorities, and strive for strong ongoing performance improvement, forecasting accuracy and data integrity.
- Provide quarterly analysis of ongoing business performance.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to lead change and take others with you, while not being afraid to make bold decisions.
- Exemplary interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in a fast-paced technical environment where change is the norm.
- Prior software experience, preferably as a director or Senior operational role
- Strong understanding of accounting and business principals and strategies
- Experience in driving senior level management teams both strategically and tactically.
- Competent user of data analytics to validate decisions and strategy.
- Experience and affiliation with software and technology in general.
- Analytical skills combined with a well-structured, collaborative, and bold approach.
- Project management skills and ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams.
- Maturity and sound managerial experience coupled with a natural entrepreneurial spirit.
- Performance-driven, strategic thinker with numerical focus and healthy risk appetite.
- Self-starting individual with high focus on autonomy.
- Low-touch mentality with track record of high impact.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbally and in writing). Excellent presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Organizational skills. Ability to plan own workload effectively and to delegate, but also work autonomously when needed.
- At least 5 years’ experience relevant to this position, ideally with software/technology.
