Summary
We are seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to join our team in Southern Ontario. In this pivotal role, you will oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they align with our commitment to quality and excellence. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining project schedules and budgets while fostering a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage project schedules using construction management software.
- Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Review blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate execution of plans.
- Implement quality control measures throughout the construction process.
- Prepare reports on project status for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role in heavy civil construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Experience with budgeting and cost estimation is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
