Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and concrete work, demonstrating proficiency in various tasks related to concrete installation and finishing. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members on-site.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of job sites, including clearing debris and setting up necessary equipment.
- Perform rebar installation and concrete forming according to project specifications.
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently for various tasks.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and finishing concrete.
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Engage in masonry work, including restoration and renovation tasks as needed.
- Conduct flooring installation and caulking for completed projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment and tools.
- Proficient in rebar installation, carpentry, concrete forming, and finishing techniques.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Familiarity with restoration, masonry, renovation practices, and flooring installation.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Competence in using hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Strong physical ability for heavy lifting and performing labor-intensive tasks.

Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Shop is located in Walkerton but jobs are throughout Bruce County and surrounding area
- Concrete experience would be beneficial
Pay is $23-$33 an hour, depending on experience. Additional benefits are available.
