JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Computer Network Technician
Duty Station: British Columbia, Canada
Reports To: Sr. Field Technician Manager

Job Summary
A Computer Network Technician at Omnivir is a team player with effective interpersonal skills. They have a client centric focus, they take initiative, uses good judgement, and is well organized. They work with a high level of accuracy and a great attention to detail, while performing repetitive tasks.
An Omnivir Network Technician has excellent oral & written communication skills, along with an ability to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Our technicians must be available atleast 2-3 days per week, Monday – Friday. Technicians also commute to client sites, and therefore, personal reliable vehicle is a requirement.

Technicians must be available for work atleast 2-3 days during weekdays, not weekends nor weeknights.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
- Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software
- Load computer tapes and disks and install software and printer paper and forms
- Provide problem-solving services to network users
- Perform routine network startup and shut down and maintain control records
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade Web-server hardware and software
- Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet

The Computer Network Technician should also be familiar and have technical knowledge of:

Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
