About The Role

We’re seeking a high-performing, entrepreneurial Vice President, Sports & Entertainment Sales to join and help lead our thriving Sports & Entertainment Practice. This is a strategic sales leadership opportunity for an insurance professional with deep expertise in the industry and a proven track record of business development success.

In this role, you’ll partner with an established national team of specialists to grow HUB’s presence across the sports and entertainment landscape — cultivating new client relationships, enhancing our market footprint, and delivering exceptional value to athletes, entertainers, production companies, sports organizations, and event operators.

What You’ll Do

Growth & Business Development

  • Drive new business acquisition by developing relationships with clients in professional and amateur sports, live entertainment, media production, film/TV, and major events.
  • Maintain and expand a robust sales pipeline in key areas, including talent coverage, venue liability, event cancellation, and production insurance.
  • Collaborate closely with other HUB producers, practice leaders, and account executives to pursue cross-selling opportunities and ensure seamless client service.
  • Represent HUB at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and credibility.

Team Collaboration & Enablement

  • Work closely with the Sports & Entertainment Practice team to develop go-to-market materials, case studies, and thought leadership content.
  • Build strong relationships with key insurance carriers and underwriters to negotiate competitive, specialized coverage options.
  • Support the continuous improvement of HUB’s offerings by sharing market intelligence, client feedback, and sector insights.

Client & Market Leadership

  • Act as a senior advisor and strategic partner to clients, bringing forward creative risk management and insurance solutions tailored to the unique demands of the sector.
  • Leverage HUB’s national and international resources to deliver comprehensive programs that address client needs, including property, cyber, D&O, and high-net-worth asset coverage.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to help shape our practice’s growth strategy and service model.

Qualifications and expertise that pave the way for Success

  • 7–10+ years of commercial insurance experience, with a strong focus on business development in the sports, media, or entertainment sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of insurance solutions relevant to this market (e.g., liability, contingency, talent and production coverage, cyber, D&O).
  • Existing relationships within the sports and entertainment ecosystem — such as with leagues, agencies, producers, event promoters, or artists — are a strong asset.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills;
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work collaboratively in a high-performing, fast-moving team.
  • Professional designations such as CIP, CRM, or CAIB are preferred.
