Job duties
- Hand-wind large-diameter electrical coils (approximately 1 meter in diameter) using a manual jig system.
- Accurately lay and tension wire to maintain consistent winding quality across multiple layers.
- Follow detailed written and verbal work instructions, including custom winding diagrams and layer counts.
- Maintain consistent build quality, speed, and attention to detail throughout production runs.
- Keep accurate records of completed coils and report any irregularities or quality concerns.
- Perform light maintenance and cleaning of winding tools and jigs as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to ensure product specifications are met.
Requirements
- Previous experience with manual coil winding or fine motor mechanical work is strongly preferred.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong sense of spatial awareness and precision when working with physical layers.
- Ability to interpret and follow technical instructions, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to maintain consistent workmanship across repeated builds.
- Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing quality.
- Comfortable working with adhesives, wire spools, and hand tools.
- High attention to detail, patience, and commitment to product excellence.
- Able to stand and work with arms extended for extended periods of time.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Ability to adapt to a machine-assisted workflow including an operator station with a user-friendly interface.
On job training will be provided.
