JOB SUMMARY
This job is exclusively for Co-op Students who are enrolled in a recognized post-secondary co-operative education program.
You are responsible for assisting with research, and for working with departments across the City to develop, maintain and coordinate a calendar of expected surveys. You assist with preparing draft content to communicate information, review data, and assist with developing reporting tools and dashboards.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Enrolment in a recognized co-operative education program in data analytics, public administration, communication, project management or a related field
No experience required
Experience working with surveys, open data, data governance, and/or managing projects will be considered an asset
KNOWLEDGE
  • Knowledge of project management practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft 365 products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers
COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to conduct research, sort and categorize findings
  • Ability to analyze and draw conclusions from information
  • Ability to present information in a clear and direct manner both written and verbal to various audiences
  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to follow instructions, request clarification when required, and support projects through completion

  • Language Requirement: English oral, reading, writing
  • Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements.
