CNC Machinist Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled 5-axis CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining processes, with the ability to operate CNC lathes and milling machines. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality components that meet strict specifications.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes and milling machines to produce precision parts.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand specifications and tolerances.
- Utilize CAD software for design modifications and CAM programming for machine operations.
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure accurate part measurements and quality control.
- Conduct regular inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on tooling design and process improvements.
- Adhere to lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency in production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with proficiency in CNC programming.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD software, and CAM programming is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficient in basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
- Experience with electrical discharge machining, plastics injection molding, assembly, welding, and the use of hand tools and power tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.03-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
