Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our care team. In this role, you will work with children between the ages of 2 and 6, providing virtual speech therapy. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for patients by improving their communication abilities and overall well-being.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills and swallowing functions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and families about speech and language disorders and provide strategies for improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Experience
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program is required.
- Current state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Experience in acute care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with pediatric cases is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech-language pathology.
- Previous experience in case management or patient care is advantageous.
