TELUS Health Retirement Consulting practice brings over 60 years of experience and innovative thought leadership to pension & savings, actuarial, compensation and overall financial well-being consulting and outsourcing. You will be part of the Regulatory Consulting team - a dynamic team of administrators, actuaries, lawyers and investment consultants, appointed by the Federal or Provincial pension regulators to administer pension plans for companies in bankruptcy/insolvency, including final settlement of plan benefits and plan wind-ups. You have a unique opportunity to learn in a highly specialized area of pension plan administration, while providing professional, superior quality service on the phone lines to plan members.
You will be responsible for the below functions:
  • Answer calls from plan members and do outbound calls (follow-ups)
  • Do required research to be able to answer member questions related to their pension plan.
  • Process information received from plan members using internal databases and information systems.
  • Participate on special projects as required.
  • Take direction from and support senior team members.
  • Attend internal training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and trends.
  • Ensure that quality control and service standards are attained with every transaction.
  • Adhere to internal risk management policies.
Succeeding as a Customer Service Representative will require the following core qualifications and skills:
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Exceptional customer focus with strong professional acumen.
  • Experience in a call center
  • Dedicated team player, who demonstrates initiative and independence.
  • Experience with Defined Benefits (DB) or Defined Contribution (DC) pension plans is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required along with the ability to work independently.
  • College diploma in a related field would be an asset
  • Fluency in French is an asset, though not required
