Overview
Looking for a Chef de Partie with experience in an a la carte restaurant. An open mind, and willingness to learn are great qualities to have in joining this kitchen team. A full-time position is based on a four-day work week, and the interview process is a short 1-2 hour trial at the restaurant.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items
- Adhere to food safety regulations and best practices in handling and preparing food
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods
- Support catering events as needed, providing quality food service to guests
- Utilize knife skills effectively for various food preparations
Experience
- Background in the food service or restaurant industry is advantageous
- Knowledge of culinary practices, including cooking methods and food handling procedures
- Experience working in a kitchen environment with an emphasis on food safety standards
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 44 per week
