Charitable Foundation Lead – Calgary, AB

Here is what a typical day looks like

  • Strategic Program Leadership
    • Lead and manage key foundation programs from planning through execution.
    • Ensure alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.
    • Drive continuous improvement through data, feedback, and process optimization.

  • Foundation Operations & Grant Management
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of the foundation, ensuring compliance with governance and regulatory standards.
    • Manage grant cycles, including application review, funding decisions, reporting, and impact tracking.
    • Develop and maintain systems for documentation, reporting, and donor stewardship.

  • Primary Point of Contact
    • Serve as the main liaison for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Represent the foundation in meetings, communications, and events.
    • Maintain strong, trust-based relationships with partners, donors, and community leaders.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with teams across brand, marketing, operations, and executive leadership.
    • Facilitate seamless coordination and communication across departments.
    • Activate and engage internal teams around foundation initiatives.

  • Event & Program Execution
    • Lead planning and execution of high-impact events and activations.
    • Manage logistics, timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships.
    • Ensure every detail is accounted for with a highly process-driven approach.

  • Communications & Storytelling
    • Craft compelling narratives and updates for stakeholders and the public.
    • Support Michelle in preparing presentations, reports, and strategic communications.
    • Ensure consistent and inspiring messaging across all touchpoints.

The value you bring

  • 7+ years of experience in program management, preferably in a leadership or senior manager role.
  • Proven success in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong background in event planning and execution, with a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with or within brand teams to activate programs.
  • Highly organized, process-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Experience in the nonprofit, charity, or foundation sector, especially with governance, compliance, or community impact.
  • Familiarity with foundation operations, grant management, and donor relations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to volunteerism or community engagement.

Hours: 37.5hrs per week – Full time, Permanent
Location: Hybrid - Calgary, AB

Compensation Range: $61,000 - $80,000
