Charitable Foundation Lead – Calgary, AB
Here is what a typical day looks like
- Strategic Program Leadership
- Lead and manage key foundation programs from planning through execution.
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement through data, feedback, and process optimization.
- Foundation Operations & Grant Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the foundation, ensuring compliance with governance and regulatory standards.
- Manage grant cycles, including application review, funding decisions, reporting, and impact tracking.
- Develop and maintain systems for documentation, reporting, and donor stewardship.
- Primary Point of Contact
- Serve as the main liaison for internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the foundation in meetings, communications, and events.
- Maintain strong, trust-based relationships with partners, donors, and community leaders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with teams across brand, marketing, operations, and executive leadership.
- Facilitate seamless coordination and communication across departments.
- Activate and engage internal teams around foundation initiatives.
- Event & Program Execution
- Lead planning and execution of high-impact events and activations.
- Manage logistics, timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure every detail is accounted for with a highly process-driven approach.
- Communications & Storytelling
- Craft compelling narratives and updates for stakeholders and the public.
- Support Michelle in preparing presentations, reports, and strategic communications.
- Ensure consistent and inspiring messaging across all touchpoints.
The value you bring
- 7+ years of experience in program management, preferably in a leadership or senior manager role.
- Proven success in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong background in event planning and execution, with a meticulous eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with or within brand teams to activate programs.
- Highly organized, process-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Experience in the nonprofit, charity, or foundation sector, especially with governance, compliance, or community impact.
- Familiarity with foundation operations, grant management, and donor relations.
- Demonstrated commitment to volunteerism or community engagement.
Hours: 37.5hrs per week – Full time, Permanent

Compensation Range: $61,000 - $80,000
