Bailey Group of Comapnies is seeking a seasoned Category Manager – Aluminum to lead strategic sourcing initiatives across North America. This high-impact role manages over $80 million in annual spend and directly influences cost structure, supplier partnerships, product innovation, and operational continuity for our SPG and Kaycan businesses.

Your main responsibilities:
- Category Ownership: Lead the aluminum raw materials category with full accountability for long-term sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and business alignment.
- Strategic Negotiations: Conduct high-value RFPs and supplier negotiations, formalize supply agreements, and ensure competitive pricing and risk mitigation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, and Legal to support product development, business continuity planning, and innovation.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, indices, and benchmarks to proactively adjust sourcing strategies and maintain supply assurance.
- Value Creation: Champion VAVE (Value Added / Value Engineering) initiatives to optimize specifications, reduce costs, and enhance customer value across multiple business units.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure full adherence to Saint-Gobain’s purchasing policies, internal controls (ICRF), and CSR initiatives including Ecovadis and the Supplier Charter.
The profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supplier relationship management
- Proven success in managing complex supplier portfolios and leading high-spend negotiations
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work across business units and geographies
