Olds Regional Exhibition (ORE) is a not-for-profit organization with a proud 125-year history of delivering agricultural and community events. We are currently seeking Casual Event Staff to support a variety of events throughout the year.
Position Overview:
We are looking for well-rounded, mature individuals who are reliable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal skills, be physically capable of handling light setup tasks, and be available to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and process door admission
- Sell and handle event tickets, cash, and POS transactions
- Bartend at licensed events (ProServe certification required)
- Assist with set-up and tear-down of event spaces (tables, chairs, signage)
- Support general clean-up and reset post-event
- Provide excellent customer service and represent ORE with professionalism
- Follow event procedures and safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Must be mature, dependable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- ProServe certification is required for bartending shifts
- Previous experience in events, bartending, or customer service is an asset
- Comfortable with light physical labour, setting up and taking down tables and chair, standing for extended periods
- Weekend and evening availability is essential
- Must be 18 years of age or older
