Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Carpenter Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist skilled carpenters in various construction projects, contributing to the successful completion of tasks while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the carpentry field. This role is perfect for individuals looking to develop their skills in construction and woodworking.
Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters with the installation, repair, and maintenance of structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
- Help with the preparation of job sites by gathering tools, materials, and equipment necessary for projects.
- Perform tasks such as drywall installation, siding application, flooring installation, trim installation framing and most other aspects of carpentry
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
- Participate in restoration projects by assisting with the fabrication of components as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency on site.
Requirements
- Previous experience or knowledge in tasks above preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in carpentry is essential.
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions from skilled carpenters and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to carpentry and construction.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
