About the job
The primary role of the Cardiac Sonographer is to perform diagnostic Echo imaging procedures at the request of the physician to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with cardiac disease. It also includes transthoracic echocardiography, Exercise Stress Echo, Dobutamine Stress Echo, clinical research protocols, teaching of Mohawk College students, quality assurance, communications, customer services, and computer support
Duties & Responsibilities
- Able to work effectively as a member of an inter-professional team, collaborating with other disciplines to provide comprehensive patient care

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, graduate of an accredited educational program in Cardiac Sonography required
- Current registration with ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)and/or CRCS-AE with Sonography Canada required
- Mandatory membership with CMRITO (College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario) required
- Current CPR certification required
- Excellent communication, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
- Proven flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills as relates to patient care
- Demonstrated commitment to and involvement with own profession (e.g. membership with professional association, etc.) preferred
- Effective and demonstrated team skills
- Must be willing to work evenings and/or weekends as directed by the Program.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

- echocardiography: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
