Job Title: Assistant Buyer
Overview:
Join IH Casa Decor Inc., a renowned industry leader in distributing fine giftware and home furnishings across the globe. As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a crucial role in our procurement process, contributing to our commitment to providing quality products in line with global trends.
- Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing new products and suppliers to expand our product offerings
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of new item records across internal systems
- Product costing analysis with buying team on product viability
- Collaborate with the buying team to procure merchandise that aligns with market demands
- Utilize procurement systems to track inventory levels and facilitate timely purchases
- Follow-up on outstanding items and issues and support buyer with correcting and tracking down discrepancies.
- Participate in photoshoots, building and updating seasonal product categories – calculating, listing labelling, showroom samples tagging
- Working with key in-house customers for store service, order entry, customer service, distribution of samples and any follow up required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Proven experience in procurement, buying, or related roles within the retail industry
- Familiarity with sourcing strategies and procurement processes
- Must possess advanced skills in Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data visualization) and PowerPoint for effective data presentation and communication
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of ERP systems for inventory management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective vendor management

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
