Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Busser/Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests while efficiently managing seating arrangements and reservations as well as helping with bussing duties.
This role is crucial in ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service from the moment they enter until they are seated.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly as they arrive and provide them with a warm welcome.
- Manage a waitlist and seating charts to optimize table turnover and minimize wait times.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including tidying up tables and waiting areas.
- Assist guests with inquiries about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Assist with opening and closing responsibilities for the patio, and ensure all stations are well-stocked with cutlery, napkins, menus, and other essential items to support the team’s efficiency
- Provide support to the team as needed, including assisting with food handling or delivery when required.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality sector is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including knowledge of food handling and safety practices is a plus.
- A clean and professional appearance is essential, along with a positive attitude towards teamwork and helping others.
