The main purpose of the Business Analyst role is to support the alignment of business requirements and technological solutions. They role will play a crucial part in ensuring that DWF operational processes align to strategic goals by analysing business processes, defining requirements, and facilitating the implementation of effective solutions.
The role would work predominantly within the Transformation Portfolio with close alignment to Project Managers and supporting Analysts.
The successful candidate can be based in either Vancouver or Montreal.
Responsibilities:- Requirement Gathering: Gather and document detailed business requirements from stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of their needs and expectations.
- Process Analysis: Analyse existing business processes to identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement, using techniques such as process mapping and workflow analysis.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, managing expectations and ensuring that all parties are informed of progress and changes.
- Testing and Validation: Develop test plans and conduct testing to ensure that implemented solutions meet the defined requirements and function as intended.
- Implementation, Training and Support: Implement solutions and processes including communications to users and stakeholders, support training and support end-users, ensuring that they are equipped to utilize new systems and processes effectively.
- Documentation: Produce comprehensive documentation, including requirement specifications, process maps, and user manuals, to support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of solutions.
- Reporting and Optimization: Develop efficient and repeatable reporting to track solution roll-out and monitor improvement results. Optimize new processes after implementation to maximize improvements and achieve results.
- Business Analysis Techniques: Proficient in techniques such as SWOT analysis, MoSCoW analysis, and root cause analysis.
- Process Modelling: Ability to create process maps and flowcharts.
- Requirements Management: Skilled in gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements using methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Data Analysis: Competence in analysing data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.
- Knowledge: Understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of the order to cash process.
- Proficient in PowerBI and Excel.
- Proficient in Practice Management Systems such as 3e.
- Bilingualism in French is an asset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross- functional teams.
What we offer:The salary range for this role is $120,000-$130,000 USD depending on experience.
