Site: Credit Valley Hospital, with the flexibility to travel across sites for operational needs

Position Summary:
- Responsible for the efficient control and management of all plant and equipment – e.g. chillers, boilers, generators, fire, water treatment, centrifugal pumps and various air-handling systems
- Ensure regular operational checks and maintain the Operational Log.
- Carry out planned and demand maintenance on all plant & equipment and update CMMS.
- The role includes responsibility for Emergency Response - e.g. Fire, Flood, System Failure etc.
- Compliance with all Corporate OH&S Policies, Procedures and Programs.
- Work within a rotation shift schedule and be available on call to attend to emergencies.
- Performs other related duties as required
Key Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary Technical Education.
- Completion of Building Environmental Systems course I and II required.
- Certificate of Qualification as issued by the Ontario Department of Labour, Stationary Engineering Certificate or Refrigeration B Certificate will be an asset.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in Plant Operations, preferably in an institutional environment.
- Mechanical / electrical aptitude, trouble shooting skills and experience with HVAC and Coil Tube Boilers.
- Proficient in the use of computers as it relates to the job
- Ability to use a Building Automation System program preferably Johnson Controls Metasys and Honeywell EBI
- Exceptional communication, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
- Ability to read blue print drawings.
- Work on a daily basis as part of a team on a three shift , 24/7 rotation
- Must complete the required training program
- Positive attendance and work record essential
