The Branch Fleet Technician will be responsible for maintaining diesel equipment and hydrovac operation by performing inspections, preventive maintenance, and necessary adjustments and alignments. Corrects vehicle deficiencies and keeps accurate records with guidance and direction. Manages work orders in Fleetio to ensure comprehensive documentation and tracking. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of diesel equipment, ultimately supporting the overall operational success of the organization.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $45.00 - 55.00 per hour depending on experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
What We're Looking For:
Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of assigned vehicles and equipment and preventative maintenance such as oil changes and greasing of trucks.
- Conducts safety checks on trucks.
- Maintains a clear line of communication to the Branch Manager and Regional Fleet Staff and other staff in the maintenance department.
- Keeps the Fleet operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.
- Occasionally may perform service calls for emergency breakdowns.
- Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established procedures.
What You'll Need For Success:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a material handling role, which includes tasks like picking, sorting, and distributing parts, as well as returning parts from the shop floor.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record, along with a strong safety acumen.
- A solid understanding of warehouse operations, including material flows, safe packing methods, and the impact on the supply chain and manufacturing success.
- Basic understanding of supply chain management and the impact of materials flows on supply chain and manufacturing success.
- Ability to read schedules for the distribution of parts and use basic mathematical skills as necessary.

Good computer literacy, including a good working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Warehouse, and Inventory Control systems including use of scanners.
Strong adherence to safety regulations and procedures. - Ability to operate forklift equipment such as counterbalance, reach trucks, and pallet lifts on a daily basis, ensuring safe handling of materials in a warehouse or yard setting.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure that parts are accurately picked, labeled, and staged according to company procedures.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds, standing/walking for extended periods, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and working in various weather conditions.
