About Us:
We are a small but fast-paced accounting firm dedicated to providing personalized bookkeeping, payroll, and tax services to our clients. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team full-time.
Position Overview:
As our Bookkeeper, you will handle a variety of administrative, bookkeeping, and payroll responsibilities. This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail and solid experience with accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up chart of accounts and input opening balances for new incorporations using QuickBooks Online, Acomba, or Excel
- Post entries to the general ledger
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare and file GST/QST, DAS, and payroll remittances
- Finalize year-end financial reports including Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and Profit & Loss for corporate tax filing
- Support other administrative and accounting-related tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Proven bookkeeping experience (minimum 2–3 years preferred)
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Acomba, and Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of Canadian tax filings (GST/QST, DAS, payroll remittances)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Training on internal procedures will be provided, but candidates must come with relevant experience
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
