About the role
Are you passionate about numbers and the business side of the entertainment world? At DMCL, we’re looking for a Bookkeeper to join our high-performing, close-knit Entertainment Group, where we support artists, creators, and industry professionals through every stage of their careers.
In this hands-on role, you’ll handle full-cycle bookkeeping for a diverse mix of clients. You’ll work with cloud-based systems like Sage and QuickBooks, process payroll, prepare tax filings, and help keep client finances running smoothly and on time. You'll also gain exposure to business management practices and learn from a team that thrives on collaboration, mentorship, and a great sense of humour.
How you’ll make a difference
- Managing full-cycle accounts payable and receivable
- Preparing and sending client invoices and bill payments
- Handling payroll calculations and government remittances
- Preparing and filing GST/HST, T4s, T5s, and other returns
- Performing monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Supporting clients with day-to-day bookkeeping questions and financial processes
- Learning how to manage multiple client files efficiently while developing business management skills along the way
Who you are
You have 1–3 years of bookkeeping experience, ideally with Sage, QuickBooks, or similar platforms
You enjoy working with numbers and want to grow your skills in payroll, reconciliations, and external filings
You’re organized, detail-oriented, and proactive—able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
You’re a great communicator who enjoys being part of a team and supporting clients
You’re eager to grow your understanding of business management accounting and possibly explore further training or certifications
You’re excited to contribute to a collaborative, high-energy team that values accuracy and consistency just as much as people and relationships
