JOB SUMMARY
Our Graveyard Shift Janitor is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance and security of the Base Operations area at the bottom of the mountain during graveyard hours. Shift times are 9:00pm to 7:00am on average, four days a week. The successful candidate would be responsible for cleaning all offices, buildings and bathrooms as well as the general upkeep of the base operations area, and should be mechanically inclined in order to complete on-the-job training for the use of our aerial tramway and gondola system as well as forklifts etc..
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for janitorial and cleaning duties in all offices, washrooms and buildings
- Upkeep of all surrounding grounds and parking lots at the base of the mountain
- Shoveling and removal of snow from all public areas, walkways and stairs in winter season
- Shipping and receiving of freight and product
- Operating various types of vehicles including pickup trucks and forklift
- Safe operation of aerial tramway systems and gondola
- Other duties as required
This position reports directly to the Assistant Manager, Base Operations and does not involve any direct supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES
- Must be punctual, reliable and responsible
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Must be organized and possess a strong work ethic
- Successful team contributor and able to work independently
- Able to perform tasks safely and efficiently
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and in all weather conditions
- Applicant must be mechanically inclined, on-the-job training provided
- Janitorial and forklift experience an asset
Hours of Operation are weather dependant. Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule. A variety of work schedules may include a variety of start times, including shifts on weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts require standing for long periods of time, lifting, twisting, and other forms of manual tasks.
Shift times are 9:00pm to 7:00am on average, 4 days a week (4x 10hr shifts per week).
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$20.31 to $23.76/hour
