Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with a focus on Turkish baking and preparation. As a Baker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods that meet our standards of excellence while ensuring food safety and hygiene practices are strictly followed. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all products are made with high-quality ingredients and adhere to food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Assist in training and supervising junior bakers or kitchen staff as needed.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and menu items that align with customer preferences.
- Conduct regular quality checks on baked goods to ensure freshness and presentation.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in baking or pastry preparation.
- Ability to supervise and manage a team effectively while fostering a positive work atmosphere.
- Experience in restaurant management or kitchen operations is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a passion for creating visually appealing baked goods.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to work independently when required.
- Turkish langu in an asset
