Position Summary
The Automotive Installer is responsible for performing a variety of automotive installation, maintenance, and repair services in a safe and efficient manner. This role focuses on tasks such as tire installations, oil changes, batteries, wipers, and other routine vehicle services while delivering excellent customer service. The Automotive Installer works closely with licensed technicians and service advisors to ensure a high-quality experience for customers.
As part of a growing and expanding shop, this position offers excellent potential for advancement, including the possibility of an automotive apprenticeship for the right candidate.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform automotive installation and maintenance services including:
- Tire mounting, balancing, rotation, and repairs
- Oil, lube, and filter changes
- Battery testing, installation, and charging
- Installation of wiper blades, light bulbs, and other basic parts
- Bike building and repair
- Assist licensed automotive technicians with shop tasks as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation of completed work orders.
- Follow all Canadian Tire policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable service and communicate effectively with customers when needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in automotive service or mechanical knowledge an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Physical ability to lift and move tires, parts, and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Willingness to learn and grow within the automotive service field.
- Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
