Job Overview
BTown Service and collision is expanding and we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive repair and restoration, demonstrating expertise in repairing and refinishing vehicles to their original condition. This role requires a strong commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties
- Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
- Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
- Prepares vehicles for body repair work.
- Notifies management of any additional repairs needed.
- Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
- Assess vehicle damage and determine necessary repairs using diagnostic tools and visual inspections.
- Perform body repairs including welding, straightening, and replacing damaged panels.
- Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
- Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.
- Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, priming, and applying fillers as needed.
- Refinish vehicles using spray painting techniques to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair processes and timelines.
Skills
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment related to auto body repair.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for aesthetics in vehicle appearance.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Knowledge of automotive paint systems and refinishing techniques is preferred.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members effectively.

Pay: $18.21-$42.03 per hour
