TK Liquidation & Auction LTD is a fast-growing liquidation retail and online auction company, proudly family-owned and operated. We’re expanding our online auction operations and are looking for a motivated Online Auction Floor Manager to join our team on an 18-month contract to cover a parental leave.
Position Overview
As the Online Auction Floor Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the auction floor and listing team. You’ll be responsible for staff management, product flow, customer messaging, and ensuring high-quality auction listings. Strong people management and IT/computer skills are essential, as much of our workflow relies on technology, barcode systems, and auction software.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of floor and listing staff.
- Keep staff motivated, productive, and on schedule.
- Oversee product intake, testing, listing, and shelving processes.
- Manage workflow to ensure accurate and timely auction listings.
- Handle scheduling and staffing requirements for auction operations.
- Monitor quality control for item descriptions, photos, and conditions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer complaints, questions, and messaging, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
- Use auction software, spreadsheets, and internal systems to track progress and performance.
- Train new employees on systems and floor processes.
- Collaborate with management to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams.
- Strong IT/computer skills, including comfort with auction/listing software, spreadsheets, and barcode scanning systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for handling customer interactions.
- Ability to multitask and manage a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle conflict with professionalism.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Experience in retail, warehouse, or auction operations is an asset but not required.
