We're looking for an Associate Technical Writer to join our Customer Content team in Montreal. You will work alongside a team of writers and collaborate with SMEs across the business to research, write, edit, translate, upload, publish, localize, and maintain self-serve content across our products and platforms.
The content you create and translate for our Retail Help Centers and other self-service portals will help our global merchants get the most out of their Lightspeed products and services.
** Please note this role is based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with a hybrid schedule (3 days per week in our Old Port office).

What you'll be doing:
We're a team of 8 people located in Canada, New Zealand, and the Philippines. Our team is responsible for empowering global merchants with actionable self-serve content to learn, evolve, and thrive in an ever-changing market.
- Researching, writing, editing, translating, uploading, publishing, localizing, and optimizing self-serve content in French and English.
- Balancing priorities to execute high-quality work for multiple projects on a deadline.
- Effectively communicating async/synchronously with global teammates and SMEs in English and French across time zones and mediums.
- Participating in the peer review process, self-driven learning, and data-driven experimentation for continuous improvement.
What you need to bring:
We're looking for an entry-level candidate who has experience with the following:
- Exceptional written and verbal French and English language skills.
- Experience in technical writing or a similar content writing role.
- Experience writing and translating (French <> English) content for technical products.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality output.
- Strong collaborator who communicates effectively async/synchronously.
- Experience with KMS/CMS tools (e.g. Zendesk, WordPress) and basic HTML coding.
- Bonus: Experience with Localization tools (e.g. Transifex, LocalizeJS).
