Job Description

What is the opportunity?

RBCIS is looking for a highly experienced Client Onboarding Project Leader to have an instrumental role in our transformation journey as we build towards our vision to delight our clients with a best-in-class, frictionless end-to-end client onboarding experience.

This individual will lead and oversee client the onboarding project management function and capability across the RBCIS Client Onboarding Team to deliver a superior end to end client onboarding experience for new and existing RBCIS clients. Responsible for leading a team of client onboarding project managers, implementing project management principles, framework & artefacts, and scaling fundamental project standards across the larger onboarding team. May independently manage strategic, critical or very large client onboarding projects, ensuring alignment to overall onboarding strategies and priorities. Partners with stakeholders across RBCIS and RBC to ensure a smooth and successful client onboarding experience for our clients via leadership and accountability throughout the end to end onboarding journey, leveraging the project toolkit and providing thought leadership.


What will you do?

  • Deliver an exceptional client experience, putting the client at the centre, for all onboarding initiatives
  • Manage team of Onboarding Project Managers, developing strong project management capability and standards within the team for client onboarding initiatives
  • Embed a standardized project management approach for all onboarding and transition initiatives, including project framework, internal and client facing artefacts, KPIs & reporting, governance and communications/status updates
  • Drive continuous improvement across the end to end onboarding lifecycle by working with the larger team and partnering with stakeholders
  • Ensures team conducts projects in accordance with RBC’s standard project management discipline, consistently following Project Management methodology and principles
  • As required, takes the lead for the Project Management of complex or large scale Client Onboarding initiatives in RBC Investor Services
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the RBC Investor Services environment and initiative impact and leverage knowledge to guide the project and manage issues, risks and schedules.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork & collaboration

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the financial services
  • High degree of proficiency in project management methodologies and frameworks

  • 5+ years of proven leadership & team management skills
