Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager for our team here at the newly opened Saxe Point Public House, to oversee the daily operations of our dining and drinking establishment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong background in team management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the restaurant, including customer service, food quality, and financial performance.
- Customer interaction (including food and drink service)
- Oversee day to day operation to ensure high standards of service always delivered
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate financial records
- Running in house promotional campaigns
- Conduct interviews, hire, train, and mentor team members
- Implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary environment
- Ensuring regular maintenance including cleaning and repairs
- Inventory and order placing
- Hosting regular management meetings to ensure performance and targets are met
Experience:
- Proven experience in the food industry with 3 years prior experience in similar role
- Strong background in supervising staff and managing teams
- Proficient in cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and food service standards
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in food preparation is a plus
