Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant General Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the restaurant and hospitality industry, with a passion for team management and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including staff supervision and training.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
- Support the hiring process by conducting interviews and onboarding new team members.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and quality control.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Implement promotional strategies to enhance guest experiences and drive sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is required.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Experience in team management, including training and mentoring staff.
- Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems for order processing and payment handling.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation is a plus.
