We’re currently seeking a long-term Assistant General Manager to grow with us and become a key part of our leadership team.
We’re looking for someone with a strong background in the service industry, ideally with both bar and serving experience. While prior management experience is a bonus, it’s not required—we’re ready to provide hands on training for the right candidate who demonstrates passion, reliability, and leadership potential.
In this role, you will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, inventory management, ensuring exceptional service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. We are seeking an individual that is not only shares a passion for hospitality but also plans to contribute positively to our culture.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficient service and adherence to company policies.
- Supervise staff; including training, follow ups, 1-1s and performance evaluations to foster a positive work environment.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to guarantee quality and safety standards are met.
- Handle cash management and POS operations, ensuring accurate transactions and record-keeping.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Support in conducting interviews for new hires and assist in the onboarding process of new team members.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas while adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the General Manager on budgeting, inventory management, and cost control measures.
- Foster teamwork among staff to enhance productivity and morale within the restaurant.
- Completion of all BRG Management courses over training period.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in corporate restaurant management or a similar role within the service industry.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team management and development.
- Knowledge of basic food handling practices, food safety regulations, and kitchen operations.
- Proficiency in using POS systems, particularly Squirrel POS is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with a passion for hospitality.
- Experience in interviewing and training staff members effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, serving, or barista roles is advantageous.
- Experience with liquor, wine and beer (bartending preferably).
- Experience working with Optimum Control Inventory is considered an asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
