Andrews Farm Market & Winery is one of Ontario’s most well-known agri-tourism destinations, attracting 50,000+ visitors annually.
The Role
The Assistant Events Coordinator works closely with the Events Coordinator and Farm Store Manager to oversee and coordinate school field trips, birthday parties and corporate events at the farm.
This role is a combination of customer service/sales; and managing online booking system, event invoicing and related office administration. This includes event planning support and day-of event management; maintaining positive and regular communication with clients; ensuring all event communications, records, event set up and staffing is well organized; and promoting group experiences at the farm to grow the event portfolio of the business.
The Assistant Events Coordinator directly supports our farm’s goals of being a gathering place for community groups, outdoor education programs, families and friends; engaging the public in meaningful, fun farm experiences; building friendships and loyalty among farm visitors; and providing exceptional customer service.
Requirements
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience managing and creating budgets for events a plus
- Prior experience in event planning or related field preferred
- Knowledge of farm events a plus
- Some medium – heavy lifting required
- Must be able to hear and see clearly as this is a working farm with moving equipment.
Working Schedule
June 1 – October 31st : 20-40 hours/week, including some weekends and holidays, with possibility of extension for part-time winter work

- French an asset, but not required
Schedule:
- 3-5 days per week, including some weekends through summer and fall (most events occur on the farm on weekends)
- Some Holidays as needed
