Chemetics (a Worley Company) is a leader in manufacturing ASME pressure vessels, heat exchangers and acid coolers for our customers in the pulp and paper, chemical, oil, nuclear, fertilizer and base metal smelting industries worldwide and has been designing and fabricating custom process equipment for over 50 years. Position Summary
This position is for the afternoon shift and operates on a 10-hour schedule from Monday to Thursday. Weekend work may be required as needed, along with overtime hours and pay. Overtime is available on an as-needed basis.
A qualified candidate must demonstrate competence in the following shop operations, associated with fabricating pressure vessels, heat exchangers, gas exchangers, and associated distribution piping, and fittings:
- Basic blue print reading
- Grind or cut weld prep
- Set-up tube bundles/tube rolling
- Grinding
- Hydro-testing
- Mechanically inclined
- Bolt torquing
- Documenting completed tasks

Job Description
- Assembly of tube bundles
- Loading tubes into tube bundles
- Tube rolling
- Tube bending
- Loading tube bundles into shells
- Installation and bolting of flanges, blinds
- Bolt torquing using Hydraulic, Pneumatic and manual torquing tools
- Hydro-testing
- Cleaning of vessels
- Shop clean-up
- Shop organization
- Alert Foremen of potential material shortfalls
- Work outdoors in all-weather conditions
- Assist Shipper in loading/unloading delivery vehicles
- Load boxes/crates – weigh and measure dimensions in conjunction with shipping personnel
Training & Education
Qualified by any combination of education and experience in the shop, provided they demonstrate skill and competence as described in the preceding paragraphs:
- High school or College - Applicable training or Apprenticeship
- Previous work experience including: Overhead Crane Operation, Rigging Forklift Operation, WHMIS Training, First Aid, Confined Space, Fall Arrest (Certification preferred)
