iGaming Ontario is seeking for an Application Support Analyst. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Solutions Support, the Application Support Analyst will provide hands-on technical support to all iGaming Ontario customers and staff experiencing technical challenges. This position will also be responsible for all technical matters involving systems and applications leveraged in the day-to-day functions of iGaming Ontario including Anti-Money Laundering System (AMLS), Contract Management System (CMS), Audit Management and Finance System (MSBC).
Key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Monitoring and evaluating application/system performance and reliability.
- Providing Tier 1 customer support for iGaming Ontario software solutions.
- Acting as a backup resource for Azure Data Analyst and Azure Cloud Developer.
- Creating detailed systems specifications, participate in software development, installation and configuration of 3rd party off-the shelf software.
- Acting as a subject matter expert and provide technical support for procured business solutions.
- Consulting with other technical resources and iGaming Ontario client groups, analyze problems, develop alternative solutions, and recommend methods to streamline business processes and costs.
- Liaising with contracted vendors to ensure system delivery, installation, operation, and support.
- Providing technical input, assessment, and realistic estimates to project team for planning, risk analysis, schedule, and change management.
- Participating in the implementation of new systems and enhancements/upgrades to the existing systems.
- Assisting in defining software implementation project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
- Participating in change management, data migration, unit, integration, and regression testing.
- Identifying, documenting, and sharing system deficiencies with clients and senior-level staff to review and analyze.
- Installing and configuring software solutions across the enterprise.
- Creating and maintaining system and user documentation.
- Postsecondary education in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Basic understanding of Azure technologies such as:
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Blob Storage
- Azure SQL Database
- Azure Active Directory
- Power BI
- Familiarity with software development concepts and database languages such as SQL and Python.
- Experience working with Microsoft SharePoint.
- Microsoft related certification(s) would be an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capacity for problem solving, synthesis, and making sound recommendations.
This position currently offers a hybrid work location. iGaming Ontario has implemented a minimum three-day per week in-office schedule. iGaming Ontario reserves the right to change this policy and its office location at any time.
This position falls within the scope of a bargaining unit represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU). In the upcoming months, iGaming Ontario and OPSEU will be negotiating the terms of a collective agreement which, once concluded, will govern the terms and conditions of this position.
