We are seeking highly qualified and dedicated Advanced Placement (AP) Course Tutors to join our academic team. While applications are welcome for all AP subjects, priority will be given to candidates specializing in Economics (Micro and Macro), Psychology, Physics, World History, and English Language and Composition.
As an AP Tutor, you will play a critical role in helping students excel academically by delivering high-quality instruction through both individual and group sessions. The successful candidate will have a minimum of four years of relevant teaching or tutoring experience, a proven ability to apply innovative and effective teaching strategies, and a strong commitment to student success. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to foster engagement and motivation are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction in one or more AP subjects, with emphasis on priority areas.
- Provide both private and group tutoring sessions tailored to individual learning needs.
- Develop customized lesson plans, practice exercises, and test preparation strategies.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods to ensure measurable improvement.
- Create an engaging, supportive, and motivating learning environment.
- Stay current with AP curriculum updates, exam formats, and College Board standards.
- Maintain open communication with students, parents, and staff regarding academic progress.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in related field (Doctorate preferred).
- Minimum of four years of teaching or tutoring experience at AP level.
- Strong knowledge of AP curriculum and exam requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to apply creative and effective teaching methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for education and commitment to student achievement.
- Ability to engage, motivate, and build rapport with diverse learners.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00-$55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 8 per week
Work Location: In person
