We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Portfolio Management Office under the Corporate Initiatives department.

What You Will Do


Reporting to the Manager, PfMO you will be responsible for contributing to the planning, monitoring, analysis and evaluation of applicable TTC Group’s project portfolio for efficiency and effectiveness, this includes ongoing monitoring of project, program and portfolio schedules, cost and scope controls, performance measures to ensure project management governance has been adhered to.

You will analyze data and project information to identify critical areas for improvement and corrective action as well as other improvement opportunities/efficiencies and assists with the implementation of corrective action. Conduct gap analysis (opportunity assessments and assists with action plans and change management.
Your responsibilities will also include supporting the integration, documentation, evaluation of operating and administrative policies, rules, standards and procedures, and assisting with their implementation. You will act as a department resource and provide support to the various PMO groups on policies, rules, procedures, standards and performance measures. You will monitor adherence to corporate/department policies and standard operating procedures and pertinent industry and government legislation/regulations, and identify areas for improved compliance
In addition, research information and prepare various reports and recommendations, follows-up on action logs/plans, prepare/develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), dashboards, data analysis and reports.

What Qualifications Do You Bring?


Completion (or in process of completing) of a university degree in Business Administration/Management or in a relevant discipline, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent;
Experience working in a Portfolio Management Office or department level Project Management Office specifically on: analyzing data using the project management information systems to identify portfolio issues, risks, dependencies and continuous improvement opportunities;
Certification or working towards a relevant technical discipline and/or certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or CAPM, would be considered assets;
Technical project management skills, including exposure to performance reporting, dashboards, requirements management and traceability, risk, schedule, scope management, and budget and cost estimation;
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
Proven planning, organizational and decision making skills;
Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation and conflict management skills;
Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others; adapt quickly to new environments; and work efficiently and effectively through stressful situations;
Proficiency in software applications relevant to the work and area of responsibility (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, PowerBI and Access);
Demonstrated ability to review and monitor budgets and conduct cost/benefit analysis;
Proven ability to extract relevant information for executive reports;
Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees.
