Overview
We are seeking a skilled Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of alarm systems, ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties. This role requires a strong understanding of various technologies, including low voltage systems, CCTV, and computer networking. The Alarm Technician will work closely with clients to assess their needs and provide tailored solutions.
Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain alarm systems including intrusion detection systems (IDS), sensors, and CCTV equipment. Must be familiar with DSC NEO systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine installation requirements.
- Conduct thorough inspections of alarm systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to alarm systems, utilizing mechanical knowledge and hand tools.
- Collaborate with construction teams to integrate alarm systems into new builds or renovations.
- Provide technical support for clients regarding alarm system operation and maintenance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in alarm technology.
Experience
- Proven experience in electrical work or telecommunications is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with computer hardware and networking principles is essential.
- Hands-on experience with low voltage systems, including wiring and installation techniques.
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools necessary for installation tasks.
- Knowledge of construction processes and ability to read blueprints or schematics effectively.
