This role comprises all semi-skilled warehouse tasks required to receive, store, pick and ship customer orders. The role is differentiated with General Labour by its requirement for additional material handling equipment, process, or technical skills.
How you create impact
- Follow standard warehouse practices and work instructions required to maintain high levels of inventory and location accuracy;
- Documents and identifies all discrepancies to the Team Lead
- Accurately complete routine documentation, such as check-in sheets for export/import, manifests, MHE inspections and other documents pertaining to warehouse operations
- Perform a variety of physically demanding general labor duties according to standard work instructions, such as manually loading and unloading goods from a trailer, manually loading xray machine with unsecure cargo;
- Capable of heavy lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive work including bending, twisting and reaching, following safety procedures;
- Demonstrates accuracy and efficiency in the execution of standard warehousing processes such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, checking and loading customer orders and products;
- Participates in process-specific training and adheres to all work instructions and guidelines established by KN to comply with regulatory standards such as ISO and Kuehne+Nagel Freshchain
- Comply with GMP requirements as applicable to ensure that all quality and regulatory requirements of Transport Canada and other applicable authorities and client requirements are met
- Demonstrates and maintains a skill set of operating a variety of equipment used in a traditional warehouse environment. Examples include but are not limited to: scanners, computers, scales, pallet jacks and a variety of motorized material handling
- Follows all company safety, security and housekeeping protocols and respects customer and company property and equipment
- Proactive in accident & incident prevention and fills out these reports promptly and accurately when required.

What we would like you to bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of warehouse(Shipping/Receiving) and forklift experience is mandate
- Comfortable working for 40+ hours and on Weekends
- Ability to perform heavy lifting with no accommodations (50lbs)
- Availability to work periodic overtime and a variety of shifts in order to meet the requirements of the operation
