Position Title: Afternoon Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Saanichton, BC, V8M 1Z7
Starting Minimum: $25/ hour
Job Type: Full Time Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Warehouse Operation
• Organize daily workload and assign tasks to employees.
• Oversee loading, receiving, and picking; ensure SOPs are followed
• Ensure CFIA and HACCP policies are followed.
• Liaise with Warehouse Manager to ensure proper flow of information between shifts.
• Monitor safety in the warehouse and alert staff if procedures are not followed.
• Troubleshoot any warehouse equipment issues.
• Complete all required logs and reports.
• Follow sanitation programs in all areas of the warehouse.
• Supervision of Staff
• Provide training for new employees.
• Mentor and coach all employees on afternoon shift.
• Maintain a positive environment that enhances the employees’ work experience.
• Investigate, record and follow up on all employee discipline problems consistent with company policy and standard practices.
• Keep employees informed of any changes to company policies, practices and procedures.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must have minimum of 3 years warehousing experience
• Must have minimum of 1 year supervisory/ leadership experience
• Excellent time management, decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Forklift certification would be considered an asset.
• Commitment to safety standards and practices.
• Willingness to work in a cold environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks requiring lifting, carrying, and moving objects weighing 30+ lbs. safely and effectively.
• Physical fitness and stamina to sustain prolonged periods of activity, repetitive movements, and manual labor.
