WestCorp Solutions is seeking a Capital Procurement Advisor to support our client in Saskatoon, SK. This is a contract role through December 31, 2025, with the potential for extension depending on operational needs. The position will be based out of both the client’s corporate office and local site locations, so preference will be given to candidates already located in the Saskatoon area.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with capital project goals, timelines, and internal governance policies.
- Execute end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFx events, scope of work development, bid evaluations, and contract execution.
- Draft and negotiate contract exhibits and terms in alignment with stakeholder requirements and project milestones.
- Provide ongoing contract administration support, including onboarding, change management, and claims resolution.
- Prepare contract strategy documents, recommendations to award, and executive-level summaries for leadership review.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with project teams, category managers, and supply chain counterparts to ensure alignment and value delivery.
- Promote diversity and inclusion in supplier engagement, with an emphasis on Indigenous participation.
- Provide peer mentorship and guidance to junior team members across site locations.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline; a professional designation (e.g., SCMP, PMP) is an asset.
- 5-10 years of experience in capital procurement, supply chain management, or contract administration within industrial, mining, or construction project environments.
- Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation, competitive sourcing, and supplier engagement.
- Proficiency with SAP or Oracle ERP systems and spend management tools such as Ariba.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and functions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience with invoice validation, contract interpretation, and supplier claims resolutions is a strong asset.
- Based in or near Saskatoon, SK preferred.
