Your Opportunity:
Come join the hard-working team at St. Therese Hospital located in St. Paul as the OR Booking Clerk. This is an interesting position with opportunities for development and advancement. This role is best suited for an individual who can flourish in a fast-paced environment and able to pivot very quickly from one task to another. Reporting to the supervisor, this position will be responsible for booking multiple operating room theatres, serving as a backup to the Emergency Department support staff, booking for Day Medicine and referral management. Your strong customer service and communication skills will be utilized as you will be working on the front lines with the clients and their families during which could be very stressful times. You will work in a team environment with everyone in the facility in various departments. Attention to detail will be crucial as you ensure that data is captured in accordance with AHS policies and procedures. Understanding how to keep organized and the use of your critical thinking skills will help you be successful. Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Strong customer service experience of at least 1 year.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional education in medical terminology is preferred as well as experience in a medical setting. Previous experience or training in Connect Care and referral management is preferred.
